A Million Little Pieces

Mosaics are a beautiful art form that I find amazing. During the Roman Empire they were used as floor decoration – labour-intensive works reserved for the wealthy. During my travels, I have seen some incredible mosaics that have survived for the last 1600-2000 years. Below are a few I saw in Turkey and Greece.
